Koorie Heritage Trust Cultural Centre
At the Koorie Heritage Trust, you will find the only public collection dedicated to Koorie art and culture including an Oral History collection and Reference Library; a cultural education service that includes guided walking tours, training and programs developed specifically for schools and educators; an annual exhibition program showcasing Victorian Aboriginal visual art and artists with associated public programs including workshops; a Koorie Family History Service; and a retail shop dedicated to showcasing the uniqueness of Victorian Aboriginal art and design. Narana Creations
Narana Creations is situated in Geelong, one hour from Melbourne. Narana can be included in the Great Ocean Road tour, and is a significant attraction in this area. The inviting gallery and retail area display a wide range of Aboriginal arts and crafts, and Narana staff are happy to share their extensive knowledge of Aboriginal history and culture.
Visitors can hear a didgeridoo performance, learn boomerang throwing and wander through extensive native gardens. Narana is included in the Victorian Tourism Hall of Fame and provides a high quality Indigenous tourism experience.
